Data controller and data subject rights (GDPR)

Data controller: LLC «WELCOME TO UKRAINE» (USREOU 44559356), at the address above. Contact email for GDPR requests: legal@ukraineborder.com.

If you are an EU resident (or in another jurisdiction with equivalent legislation — UK GDPR, Switzerland nFADP, Brazil LGPD, California CCPA/CPRA), you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Articles 13/14 GDPR — information — you have the right to know what data we collect, for what purpose, on what legal basis, how long we keep it, and to whom we transfer it. All of this is described in our Privacy Policy.
  • Article 15 GDPR — access — you can request a copy of all your personal data that we process.
  • Article 16 GDPR — rectification — you can ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Article 17 GDPR — erasure («right to be forgotten») — you can ask us to delete your data. Exception — if we are obliged to keep it under Ukrainian tax / insurance law (e.g., insurance policy data).
  • Article 18 GDPR — restriction of processing.
  • Article 20 GDPR — data portability — receive your data in a structured format (JSON / CSV) for transfer to another controller.
  • Article 21 GDPR — objection to processing — for marketing purposes this is an absolute right; for others, justification is required.
  • Article 22 GDPR — objection to automated decision-making (we don't run such processes).

Send all GDPR requests to legal@ukraineborder.com with the subject «GDPR request» and your specific request. We respond within 1 month (extendable to 3 months in complex cases with prior notice within the first 30 days). Requests are free of charge.

External escalation — data protection authorities

If you believe your right has been violated and our response does not satisfy you, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Localised channels depend on your country of residence:

  • Ukraine: Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights (ombudsman.gov.ua) — supervisory authority under the Ukrainian Personal Data Protection Law.
  • EU (general): your national Data Protection Authority (DPA) — directory at edpb.europa.eu/about-edpb/about-edpb/members_en.
  • France: CNIL (cnil.fr).
  • Spain: AEPD (aepd.es).
  • Germany: BfDI (bfdi.bund.de) + your Land's data protection commissioner.

  • EU: ECC-Net (European Consumer Centres Network, ecc-net.eu) — assistance with cross-border complaints.
  • Ukraine → NBU for insurance matters: mfu@bank.gov.ua + audit registry at bank.gov.ua/ua/news.

Social media and other channels

We currently have no active official accounts on Facebook / X / Instagram / TikTok / LinkedIn. Any account named «UkraineBorder» on social media is not us — it's fake or squatting. If we launch an official account in the future, it will be announced on this page and in About UkraineBorder.com with full disclosure.

What we don't do

  • We don't accept payments by phone or email — all insurance payments only via WayForPay through the official quote flow.
  • We don't ask for your passport data or card credentials via email or social DM.
  • We don't offer «expedited» insurance policies via WhatsApp / Telegram / private channels. If someone represents themselves as us this way — it's fraud; write to legal@ukraineborder.com.

Transparency

All key policies and documents are collected in the Trust hub:

If anything is unclear — write to us.
